CONCEPT Specialty Board Shop is located in downtown Encinitas on ‘ D ‘ Street, just 2 blocks from historic Moonlight Beach.  One of our downtown specialties is our bike rentals.  We have classic Schwinn Del Mar Beach Cruisers available for HOURLY or DAILY bike rentals.  We are a short bike ride away from so many cool little shops, diverse restaurants and cafe’s, and all the other popular local spots in downtown Encinitas.  We also have SURFBOARDS, BODYBOARDS, WETSUITS, BEACH CHAIRS and UMBRELLAS available for DAILY RENTALS.  We have plenty of FREE PARKING AVAILABLE, and we are only a short 2 minute walk to the beach !

Another one of our unique specialties here at CONCEPT, is that we DEMO the newest models of modern high performance surfboards.  We currently have more than 50 fiberglass and epoxy surfboards for our clients to DEMO… surfboards ranging in size from 4′8″ performance shortboards up to 9′0″ longboards, and Stand Up Paddle boards (SUP’s). Our DEMO surfboards are some of the newest shapes and designs, combined with state of the art technology from the leading surfboard manufacturers on the planet, like FIREWIRE, …Lost, Rusty, JS, Placebo, Chemistry, AKA , BARR Designs and more.  We make these boards available for our customers to ride before they buy.  In the shop we have a huge selection of new FIREWIRE boards for sale and we do CUSTOM ORDERS for all new Fiberglass boards.

With each surfboard DEMO, we offer custom fin set-ups from our FCS test drive center. We have more than 20 different sets of performance fins for your standard thrusters, twin fins and quads. And we have all the newest designs and pro model pads and leashes from DaKine. We also carry the best sunblock available for surfing, Watermans Applied Science.
